How much silver is enough?

Say shit hits the fan. Think of the worse economic situation, I dont mind to a point where everyone is killing each other for a can of corns.. I mean stocks being whipped out, america falling, the dollar is used as toilet paper, government stealing from pensions and bank accounts from common folks etc etc not world war 50... not the end of life.. nothing like that

My question is how much would houses be then? We all know that the prices in sydney are just out of the world in this country..

My second question which is related to the first is how much silver would you need to buy a house.


You might say well you need 500,000 dollars worth of silver to buy a house.. but I am asking what you think the price of real estate will be and how much silver will be.


So say you have 2000 ounce of silver and it is 200 dollars per ounce, so that's 400,000 dollars and housing is 300,000 dollars.

Something like that.

You can never have too much silver. I'd hate to miss out on that 2100oz McMansion when I only had 2000oz of silver! :D

And then there's the solicitor's fees - 100oz, stamp duty - 500oz, agent's commission - 200oz. Keep on stacking!
 
The question is the same as 'how much savings are enough'.
The more you save, the more you can spend later. And the more you spend now, the less you can spend later.
So the answer is quite obvious: it just depends on your preferences.
So the topic question is abit like should I spend my money now or later lol.
 
In a shtf situation anymore than one oz of silver is to much. Why stockpile worthless junk? Just before or after a shtf, i would say 1000oz for the average stacker is a good goal to hit.
 
I'd have to disagree. Many women own quite a lot of gold and silver jewellery. Plus they have being buying it long before we were stackers.

Silver is to heavy to carry so needs to be hidden.

My idea for silver is enough to barter for food/water for a year. If I haven't moved or ramped up food production enough to feed myself/family by that point I deserve what I get.

Thats shtf done. As for long term investments as much silver and gold as possible.
 
If shtf I think gold will be more useful, silver is too hard to transport around. But I will keep a maple for the odd beer or two
 
The vast majority of the population don't care about silver.

Stack food if you're a doomtard, you can't eat silver (yeah, i know you can drink it, don't even bother with that lame joke).

Don't trust banks? then stack gold, at least most people see that as something valuable.

But another lame joke is that silver may be an accepted inbetween step to food.
What would trade be, without a medium of exchange? How does pure barter work? I think it's harder to exchange food from a farmer with carpet than with silver. :D

About wheelbarrows, I want to give some advice: do NOT buy those with massive wheels (instead of inflated).
Because if you leave them for a longer time loaded, the plastic permanently deforms, and riding with it becomes impossible (and the scene would look like disney cartoon humor)
I know, I tried. :(
