That is awesome, "it is my safe, I was worried about kids stealing my fireworks so I put it in the safe to keep it secure so no-one would get hurt....... How was I to know some idiot would try and cut it open with a gas axe????? I am going to sue there estate for the damage they caused to my property due to their reckless actions"

Yep if anything from this thread we've learned that when you have some shit asshole trying to steal your hard earned PM's rig your safe with some explosive device even if it's pepper spray with indelible ink nearby and when it blows the mother F up you can say you stored your fireworks for safe keeping :cool: absolute brilliant. :lol:
 
Must have been the silver bullets officer, nothing else would have gone bang like that!
 
Could back fire after a big night out as you roll around in your stash like a new puppy with a toy.

Your alternative cigarette ignites the fireworks and you get really wasted.

Still I don't smoke nor store PM's at home but the above is written for another on this site.

Well there was some speculation earlier in this thread about using certain dog breeds for home protection.

My mother in law is currently in hospital awaiting emergency reconstructive surgery to her face after being severely mauled by a german shepherd today in Florida, the pet of a neighbour she was visiting. She was in the home at the time of the attack on a social visit, and the 11yo daughter of the neighbour was in the room when the dog attacked.

The damage is horrific. About as bad an attack you can survive.

Family pet.
 
We have never had a German Shepard, heard a story when I was a kid about it turning on a family member for no apparent reason, been put off ever since.

Really sorry to hear about the attack, hope she recovers quickly.
 
Sorry to hear about the attack. There's not many dogs you can fully trust (despite what the owner says), although some breeds are better than others.

I have a dog, but I place warning signs around the property. He has bitten someone attempting to enter the yard while I wasn't there.

Sorry to hear about the attack a real tragedy

Collies and labs are about all I trust and then they still must be respected.

Stick to cats... never heard of a tonkinese savaging anyone (except my arm on occasions)
 
I learned as a child to watch any dog - and German Shepherds were the lesson after a friend ended up in hospital with a nasty arm bite from a family pet. I'd never trust a dog alone in a room with a child under 10 years and I'm amazed at people that leave toddlers playing with the family dog.

I remember once I was walking home from school and we walked past a fence with a loud barking dog. A friend barked back for a joke and next thing a big black dog is dragging itself over the 2 metre high fence. I've never run so fast in my life!! We got away fortunately but that was the second lesson. The third was with Blue Heelers at my uncle's farm. Now that's a scary dog.
 
No offence but anyone who owns a dog like a bulldog or similar is as bad as the dog, i mean they're bred to kill. Why would you endanger lives just so you can look 'tough'. all you need is to be a light sleeper and have a good old shotgun near by... thats the best security possible.

Unfortunately she will be experiencing some very severe disfigurement, and a long recovery with grafts and reconstruction. "Face ripped off" sums it up.

Think twice about the next dog breed you buy.
 
Jesus. Sorry to hear that GP, that's bloody terrible. I hope she pulls out of this OK.

Owning an animal such as an Alsation comes with a shit load of responsibility. The dog will only ever be as good as its handler. What people miss is the handler needs training and without this there is going to be trouble.
Those that are members would have seen my posts and know I am a lover of big breeds and a very big advocate of training these animals. When done correctly the threat is only ever reduced, never eliminated.
Dogs do things that to us are incorrect but to them is the right thing to do, they need to be taught the difference. The handler needs to know the difference and eliminate issues from the beginning or people get injured or worse and animals get destroyed. No winners there.
Education for dog and owner is always needed, a responsible owner would not have let this happen.

Bloody tragic thing to happen, hope your mum out-law has a speedy recovery and no lasting trauma.
