Man, I wish I started stacking in the early 2000s when I started thinking about it. I never knew how pathetic our financial system would get.My big bar stack, the kg bars are unbelievably heavy for their size.

gold its small, but bitcoin can not hold it, just appear on screen
its relative![]()
It wouldnt take long to lose my stack the way i lose sinkers when rock fishing.so if bitcoin and gold both went to zero, gold would be the better paper weight or fishing sinker.
I purchased my first gold bar recently. 3.2 oz Credit Suisse. When I bought it the dealer said, this was a very stout bar. And it is. It’s the tiniest bar in my collection but I just love it. I may go back and forth with the platinum but I think I’m gonna hold onto my gold babies lol.Just got some gold from a member here and its amazing that such a small amount of something can be worth so much. I've never really seen gold outside of rings and maybe as a kid on one of those school excursions where they tell you that you will be executed if you don't hand it back.
Anyone here have any stories to tell about the first gold they purchased?
True story:
The year is 1918 in Malaysia. My grandmother is 17 years of age. Young, fair and beautiful with many suitors.
Her only requirement was she'll marry the first person to get her the best Indian necklass called kasimalai.

Anyway my grandfather who was just of average looks worked hard and "won" her love with the largest of this neckless.
My grandmother had 8 kids, 23 grandchildren, 78 great grand children and I've lost track of great great grand children.
Anyway since my dad was the last child, this kasimalar was given to him (and it did cause a lot of bickering with his sisters)
Some time last year, my dad gave it too me as I'm the only son.
Its too bad i don't have any kids to pass it on but in short, this gold chain which is of modest weight (30 sovereigns) has one hell of a story!
cheers/
