How is the wreath, and the riders hand on the horse?
Very nice !
Certainly better than VF, even EF... but it needs closer shots to determine the extent of patina on the coin, although patina should not detract from the overall grading, except in the case of hiding other imperfections, but in my opinion it seems to be almost uncirculated, with a strong strike and a reasonable degree of lustre...

Thanks chaps for all the comments so far, it wasn't easy but managed to get better photos than the initial ones, need to remember how to use my camera properly, it's tricky when it gets to coins photography

firstly nice pics kam, I know how hard silver coins are to photograph!
I would say it might touch MS 61/62 but it appears there is breaks in the lustre. having said that it really is hard to grade a high end coins by pics. f-xf is easy because you are dealing with wear only. aUnc up it becomes difficult unless you have the coin in hand
either way it is a great coin and I am very jealous!

I'd say your coin is aUNC
Looks like its had a light clean (the patina behind the devices on obverse leads me to suspect this)
This in my opinion its the nicest coin struck of all the Australian Pre decimal coinage, unfortunately there were 2,000,000 struck and a great many were taken from circulation very early so its numismatic value is not high.

the mintage was 75,000 , according to some you read about half were not sold and was remelted , mintage was more like 50,000.

Incidentally, Foy & Gibson used to sell these in their department stores back in the day and were presented in one of two types of paper bags which are extremely collectable in themselves
I have one Melbourne 1934-5 Florin but its EF and dirty

the perth store foy and gibson bag is worth double what the coin is worth in this condition
Just by looking at your photo's I would say it's a good EF, these IMO are the most beautiful pre-decimal design and one of the best in the world.
