I watched this interview with Gerry Harvey on the The Business ABC.

I found the interview to be very strange. Harvey comes across as delusional and desperate as if he is on the verge of losing everything.

Harvey Norman is a property play as the company owns most if not all of the sites the stores are on, then leases to the franchisee same as Maccas. Maybe the market is factoring in reducing profit margins due to a big non cash abnormal loss when Harvey Norman corporate has to take to account a write-down in mark to market property prices in next FY result....well, at least that the way I'm seeing it.
