Courious to see why guilded coins, get pushed aside against bullion and proof .

Is it just a matter of personal taste or is it something else ?

I personally don't mind them and believe their actually better than SOME of their coloured counterparts especially the tiger and ox.

Hi, they issued at $109 right?

At $109 id rather the PROOF

I agree the coloured version of tiger and ox are not worthy of being more popular but id say its personal opinion and could actually see someone loving the coloured Tiger.

Why brushed aside vs bullion... well i just got a roll of privy drags for $650 (32.50 each) so that vs the gilded @ 109 and theres your answer.. even the bullion drag is just $60 or less on SS so price will be a reason.. also the shear volume of other varities.. the coloured bullion at $37.50 each!! WOW too much variety means no one coin will get a price spike due to mass scaricity brought about by strong hands ( AKA: the red-back spider effect)

1for1

errr.. the coloured tiger is one of my favorite and it's doing better compared to any other coloured lunar and on par with proofs :|

the time for gilded will come in the future

but now, not yet :)

Appreciate the feed back......I just realized the error I made with my origional post.
Meant to say coloured and proof ( not bullion - as for reasons pointed out by 1for1 - oops !!!) .

I agree that , maybe in the near furure there may be a swing towards guilded.

I collect all three varieties, but honestly thought that the guilded would have been more popular amongst collectors than the coloured.

I suppose it all boils down to personal taste at the end of the day..........

Cheers
