Great new bullion series from the Royal MInt: The Queens Beasts

Perth Bullion will have the 2oz Unicorn of Scotland available for pre order on their website in the next couple of days

As soon as it's listed, I can finally put in my order to get 1 of them to continue the set, plus the new 1oz Kook and Kangaroo for my sets of those too :)

Just in case anyone collecting the QB series doesn't know, they don't come with capsule, but you can buy capsules separately for them in the accessories section on PB's site too :)

From what I understand, PB still haven't received their shipment of Unicorns, and it's been over 3 months which is just ridiculous

I'm still waiting to put in an order, but won't until that bs 3 week message is removed

They've pulled them from sale completely now. I have an outstanding order with them but there is no real point cancelling the order if I can't buy them elsewhere.
 
Melbournemintcoins have them (Unicorn) AU$85.00 each. Pricey- heh!

RoyalMintBullion - out of stock today but converts to about AU$59 when they are available.

They had them last month but sold out quickly. Have to keep watching to catch them there.
With RoyalMintBullion you will lose out with exchange rate shenanigans and account funding delays.
The singles do come in the nice "screwtop" capsules though.

Now I notice RoyalMintBullion have stopped listing the Lion 2oz silver entirely!
I imagine the 2oz Lion prices will consequently increase - if demand remains.

Maybe get the Dragons and Griffins while you can ?
 
I got them last month, 4 of them together
so there is no point to pay such high premium
its just bullion coins
+ premium of 0.66 each coin compared to latest one
since there are 10 beasts all together, I have 150 caps to seal them in, some I will get some extra :)
 
I asked PB about the Unicorn and got this response

Thank you for your email, and I do apologise for the confusion.

We have actually experienced an issue with our packages from our international supplier of these. Our order has been compromised and the parcels have been returned to sender empty.

For this reason we have taken them off the website, while we are trying to sort out this issue. These will hopefully be back on the website when they are in stock, but we have no estimated time of delivery at the moment.
 
I ended up buying a Unicorn from Bold Precious Metals on eBay, which has been linked here previously

Postage cost is $19.75, but I was able to add a 2018 Kook and 2018 Koala to the order (which I needed for my sets too) so pretty happy to finally be able to get all 3 from one seller, and I used the PICK5 code for 5% off so $130 for those 3 coins delivered I am pretty happy with, considering no other place has all 3 coins so I would of had to pay multiple postage costs elsewhere anyway :)
 
IMHO too much hype abound with this QB series. High premium, poor packaging, rough finishing and milking made this coin one to avoid like the silver Britannia. I like the design of the Lion, so I decided to collect the 1/4 oz Au series instead. Never been a fan of all Royal Mint's silver products.
 
Just as long as a 3 week back order doesn't turn into a 3 month nightmare again. ;)

Perhaps PB won't put up pre-orders this time :D
