Granny had a stash

Hi Folks,

Unfortunately granny's stash was one and two dollar Australian notes, not PM's.
Does anyone know if they have any numismatic value?

They appear in good condition, clean and most are still "crisp" to the feel.

If they are worth a bunch, where would I cash them in.

Thanks in advance,
Southerner

Is there any with Commonwealth of Australia and not jus t Australia...I believe that they could be worth quite a bit!

Guessing need a trader to inspect them.
Which state?
Melbourne = Downies. ACT= Edlins. Sydney=Right Note. Should be able to Google something like "trade banknotes" or "numismatic" etc.

Here we go.

Just spend them
They have to be Like NEW for a start
And COMM OF AUST the earlier notes that are worth any real $
The AUST ones you have (depending on signatures ) aren't worth anything
But you might get x2 face value at a market

Bugger,

I thunk I was going to be rich.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

Do not get rid if them. some could be worth over $1,000 each if the signature is a Coombs Randall and/or if the serial number has a star next to it, visit a coin site like CCF and they will give you advice, I advise grabbing 1 if each signature type and posting pics, cheers
