Good old Banksey at it again

I used to live in Bristol back in the early 2000s. Great to walk around and discover his art. Actually the whole place had a better quality of graffiti, competition really does improve the quality, even for vandalism.

It's a great stunt. Takes the painting and leaves his heart.

I see experts say the painting is now worth more than when it was complete and record breaking.

I think the shredding stopped half way through - probably a dead battery.

My first thought was "well is the sale still valid?".

I thought that halfway point was where he wanted to stop. Leaving that heart there was a happy accident if not intended.

So why does the shredded portion look a different colour from the unshredded part? To me it looks like there's 2 paintings, one shredded and one normal? So they may be able to do this trick repeatedly?

Likely due to angle of light

I feel bad for the art curator who is going to have to deal with this - how can they preserve this work without changing the presentation, which is part of the original artist's intent?
