gold plating

Hey guys

I have been looking for someone that can gold-plate some components for me for a little while and cannot find anyone, so I guess it's time to reach out :).

I realize "gold-plating" or really plating of any kind can cause some controversy around here, so full disclosure time.

I am building some lasers and torches, so I have some extra Al & Cu Heat-sinks lying around and some torch's/flash light's (the torches are anodized Al) that I want gold-plated so they look awesome :) thats really all there is to it

So does anyone here do gold-plating or know anyone that does or any companies preferably in Vic

Try PJ Williams - they're across the hall from the Gold Stackers office, they advertise plating.

Its all just electroplating doesnt matter if its chrome nickel silver gold copper etc all the same process your local chrome shop would be the cheapest because theres no middle man . just look under electroplating in the yellow pages . Not all do gold but a couple of phone calls will send you in the right direction to who does it .
 
I get plating done regularly by a company here in Adelaide that do an A-class job with gold, and also deal with one in Vic (Birwood) that can probably do it, would be worth a try although I've only just started using them so can't comment on quality.
