Gold Lunar Stack

I agree with the above about feeling slightly uncomfortable seeing the coins in his home. I may be wrong but in the thread I recall him saying that he keeps the boxes/COAs at home and the coins are in a safe location.

Still a good point made about not 'advertising' your stack

True, dont advertise your stack. But people get robbed everyday and just dont know it ie. share scams, dodgy 'financial' advisers, the Henry Kayes and David Tweeds of this world and umpteen others.....

A shoe box with gold coins, haha at the contradiction of cheapskate and expensive.
And that dog sitting between gold coins!

I think he mentions its protected by about 30,000 us soldiers = he's probably some US General or colonel living on base somewhere... I think the stack is safe without a safe!

All roads lead back to SS. I was google image searching something this evening, saw an unbelievable pic, clicked on it and bam, back to a SilverStakers thread.

I'm looking at those rolls of gold coins in an old box and my mind keeps freezing up.

This German based collector wassergeist recently was generous enough to share images of his MCC gold/silver stack on China Coin Forum. Then he sneaks in this image of some of his Perth Mint Lunar coins. I now get a sense of how hard core the German market is like with precious metal investing and collecting.

I found one of the thread comments quite insightful.

"Many collectors buy one or a few of the same coin, you buy the whole mintage."

That is two 1 kg 2000 gold Dragons in the right hand corner.

Interesting to see the posts as far back as 2008. Wonder if he sold it off or still holding on to it.

Wassergeist is a big big stackholder. Maybe he converted lunars to other stuff, but if you ask him for anything special, he should be able to sell some to you. He is most behind chinease coins. I would not wonder if he has a stock of 100 coloured 1oz oxen of 2009 and also tigers, and this is only one example.
If your search through his posts on the forum you will find pictures that will make you more and more speechless.

If you are interested in modern chinease numismatics and you are willing go get frustrated by watch pictures follow these posts.
