G'day, just a quick message to let you know that the scamers are at it on eBay. There was a dodgy item (1oz Suisse Pamp gold) for a $1650 buy it now price. I suspected it was dodgy because of the low price plus the person had no feedback. I thought what the heck so I bought it and paid with PayPayl.
They offered free postage and handling so I emailed them to say I would pay extra and get the item mailed registered, No reply plus the email address was a hotmail addy. First thing this morning hopped on the computer and still no reply from them so I cancelled payment and saw that the person was no longer registered with eBay. Yes the transaction was too good to be true but because I used payPal it was easy to cancel before they were able to transfer the money out of their account into their bank.
Lessons learned, always be aware of people with little or no feedback;
Even if they have lots of feedback check what the items were,
Beware of hotmail or gmail email accounts
If it's too good to be true it probably is
