GOLD COMPETITION: HIGHER, LOWER OR SIDEWAYS - ROUND 1

The object of this competition is to correctly predict this Fridays closing GOLD price in relation to the week just finished in USD.

No need for messy numbers though, all you need to do is state whether the price will be HIGHER, LOWER or SIDEWAYS (+ or - 0.5%) by the designated closing prediction time.

Should your prediction prove correct you will remain in the competition and get to repeat the process for the week to follow. This shall continue until an outright winner is determined. Should all remaining contestants be eliminated in a single round they shall have a playoff round based on messy numbers to sort it out.


NITTY GRITTY
Open to all members registered up until NOW.
All entrants must register in the first round before the cut-off time...CUT-OFF TIME FOR FIRST ROUND IS 11.59.00pm AEDST (Melbourne time) THURSDAY FEB 27th 2014.
To remain in the comp you must make all subsequent predictions by the weekly cut-off time which may alter to ramp up difficulty in coming weeks.

Classification of predictions
All prediction outcomes will be based on the weekly closing price in USD on the kitco chart. There seems to be minor differences between closing prices from various sources but this is the one that will determine all outcomes.

Round 1 prediction options
Price close for week ending Feb 21 is $1324.90 so, based on that....

HIGHER = $1325.00 or more
LOWER = $1324.80 or less
SIDEWAYS = Between and including $1318.20 - $1331.60


Prize is a ripping little Gold nugget from Central Victoria, home of excellent nuggs. :)
