Genuine or fake mirror panda

I say fake, the stairs leading up to the temple.... the 'solid' part in the middle is supposed to have writing or some other detail on them.. not clear and smooth like in the pic

The 2000 design has no details on the stairs.

However, the coin is still a dud in my opinion.

I would always be highly suspicious of a Panda that's been repackaged into a non mint PVC seal like this one. I have to say this particular coin is one that is commonly copied so chances are it's actually a fake. Genuine 2000 mirror should sell for around $250-300 so if you paid $30 I guess you got a dud. Or the deal of the century?

No offence intended Dynoman - but everything not in bold is surpurfulous (sp.) IMHO

That's ok Nugget I have a soft spot for Pandas & that's seen me come across some rogues in the quest to store a good collection of them. They are a great investment if you get the genuine article. IMHO.

Sorry to be late to this conversation. beyondfiat's Panda is, sadly, imo a fake. Projack's is lovely. The 2000 design is one of my favorites and established a new artistic direction for the Panda series.
