Funny delivery story.

This happened to a friend of mine.......when my 1,000 Oz Perth Mint bar arrived, the box was not the best and it was broken in transport. I went to pick it up and the girl in the office says "Oh yeah your big block of lead is here". I went outside and here was 1,000 oz of silver laying on the depot floor with "PERTH MINT" and "999" "2012" stamped on it. Everyone thought it was lead for fishing sinkers and bullets. Thank god.
 
did you inform them when you got it in the car, that block of lead was worth $36000? and your not so happy they dropped it?
would love to have seen their faces when it they were told thats a big bar of PM

could have gone the other way though, where they thought it was just a block of lead and left it close to a high traffic area where some one walking past did know what it was and was easier to steal as was in a less secure location for all to see.
 
the Perth Mint did not stamp SILVER or AG on the bar
may be on the receipt
 
Should have said you needed that much lead for the size sinkers you require when fishing for whales.....sounds like not the sharpest tools in the shed you were dealing with and the look on their faces would have been priceless post such a comment.
