Here it is, another Downie's "First of Series".
Maybe will not be another "Red Back Spider" but a potential "Tasmanian Tiger - Endangered and Extinct".
What do you think? Doesn't look bad to me :)

Ops sorry I missed the other thread :)
Anyway, this is what Downie's is stating on their website:

there is no doubt that the 2013 $1 Frilled Neck Lizard Silver Proof will stir up enormous demand, as with the first coin in any series. But this is not just 'any series'. As good as the Deadly & Dangerous Series, if not better, the Remarkable Reptiles Silver Proof Series is destined to set the collector world on fire. Considering the obvious quality, strong theme and rich pedigree, the 5,000-coin mintage of the 2013 $1 Frilled Neck Lizard Silver Proof is sure to be utterly devastated by demand.

Well they convinced me, I will get one!
Alex :)

I think it's a beautiful piece. It probably won't be another spider, But gorgeous non the less. First in a new series. I bought a couple of these babies.. :)

May I ask where from?

By the way, Perth Mints is limiting to 2 coins per customer, Downie's let you buy as much as you want.
Good, so will sell out quickly :)
Alex.

I'm hoping there will be a crocodile and snake in the series. :)
I doubt they'll do it considering there's been two snakes and a crocodile already released in the D&D series. With such a broad subject matter, I think they'd concentrate on something unique! So many to choose from: blue tongue lizard, thorny devil, frogs, etc. Will be interesting to see what comes up next.

Its design translates well to the coin, I think. Good to see a physical photo of it. I hope this trend follows on to the other mints!

Meanwhile, anyone received theirs yet?

My understanding is that the 107 is official issue price and I'd imagine BB wouldn't be offered any future PM struck coins if they are undercut them...maybe someone but the word on them

That being said I guess there's nothing stopping them from offering free postage and thereby still underpricing everyone. I believe Perth Mint have an extra postage cost.
