You and a M8 (lets call him E.M) are out prospecting for gold together when old M8 gets a huge signal on the minelab 4500, an hour later after much digging you both pull a 5.5 kg nugget to the surface and old M8 see's it and drops dead from a combined aneurism and heart attack on the spot.

Whats next ?

Is it your nugget or his ?

Do you fill in the hole, and with what?

Do you tell Uncle Russ ?
 
I tell the cops it was my metal detector and I found it. The money from it will be mine, but I'd take care of my dead friends family members.
 
I'd take care of the bloke who tried to do a good deed by getting your minelab fixed.
 
i would pack everything up and put him in the car... and rush him to the hospital.. (this way no one else will know the spot) ;) .. and with the money.. i would make sure that my mates family is looked after.. and of cause i would look after myself and mine. there would be plenty to go around :)

Always respect and always ensure your mates or companions are looked after.

I find 5.5kg nugg and drop dead on spot. Yep, that's me. :(

Splitting large finds can get messy. Actually a lot easier if one drops dead....from natural causes of course.

i imagine people would know you were going out with him on that day.. everyone would know you were the last person to see him...
you would end up being a suspected murderer ... burying him would achieve nothing .. (apart from making you a suspected murderer)
and leaving his family with a lot of unanswered questions as to what happened to their loved one...
when really, you've done nothing wrong? the poor old bugger just dropped dead :P

This is a totally fictional character E.M , just based on you. :D I would of based it on me but soiling your shorts and then dropping dead is a little unflattering to say the least.
 
Knowing EM...I would left the body and te nuggets in his car...and run away with his thermos of IR. a man need to get his order right. :D
