Friday Night Hypothetical, Why are we or the world here ?

Just been head fucked by a seven year old, and only just seven at that. A whole hour literally of endless questions.... Why is the world here?, Why are people here?, What if people weren't here, would the world still be here?, What if the world or people were different what if we were all the same sort of people? What is the purpose of the world and people ? How come people have different gods? Why aren't the Egyptians around any more? Did real people kill the cave man or did they just die ? How did the world get here ??????????

Yeah but.......

Any ideas ?
 
Him's a She, knows the difference between $ and value already, and wanted a stereo zoom microscope for her birthday. Hates Barbie and reads text books for entertainment. I'm quite sus on the missus to say the least.....

The kid is like a terminator, what, when, why, how, but, ......oh bullshit dad.....Gave me a lecture on the existence of Homo Erectus in Flores and then wanted to know what the finding of the Hobit skeletons (Homo floresiensis) and Homo Sapiens in the same time frame meant for the out of Africa hypothesis of human evolution. "How can you have cave men who died and little people who lived and then us all in the same place for a while and then the same people as us here in Australia all of a sudden " ?

Is god real, my teacher reckons he is, blah.....But.....
 
Enjoy the gift of a child as long as you can.As she asks her questions you may find yourself wondering about these things also,or questioning why you believe what you do about the world.Look at things thru her eyes and appreciate that she is a healthy,inquisitive,and thoughtful child.Pat yourself on the back a little and give her all the hugs she wants.
Also consider that a child who is told not now or dont ask so many questions,may return the favor as she grows into an adult and you try to have a sit down to talk.

You are very blessed to have such a switched on kid. Second hand stereo microscopes (Nikon, Olympus or even a Cherman made Zeiss) can be sourced from some university departments eg biology/zoology. The optical lens on these are still good.

Get her a copy of "The Diversity of Life" by Edward O Wilson. That should keep her entertained for a couple of hours.

i hope the little six week old poo factory lying across me now grows a mind like that.
not sure how to answer the questions about the hobbits and little people of australia, but she might stay quiet for a day reading up if you point out that the aboriginal yowie stories often told of little people and if you dig a bit you may find a bit of documentation as recent as the 1900's if some wee lil' tribes still wild in the rainforests here.
kept me busy for months after i was working on a tv show and was chatting with a cameraman and it wandered into yowie territory somehow, he let on he was comissioned to do some surveilance camera work out back of innisfail somewhere to look for some living little people that were supposed to be extinct.
 
yep have to agree great kid, foster that mind its very important to help kids and not have their little spirits squashed like they do at schools because the "instructors" need to be in control and only want robots not free thinkers.
for me 99% of teachers are making mini Me's and not lifting kids up to be all they can be its sad in my book that free thinking must be squashed and dulled down, schools i am talking about here kids need never be treated as kids in the learning department.

i know this from personal experience at about the same age was talking politics and law and all that was done to foster the growth was total annihilation from people " teachers" who are threatened by a kid who is way past their age group in thinking so they must conform to the norm basically shut up you are stupid and stack your blocks.

needless to say i spent 10 years looking out the window did no home work got crap marks , i learnt to read write and add up and this took 11 years :rolleyes: they have no idea what they do to kids when they are inflexible and can not tailor a curriculum to suit individual kids.

shame shame shame on them little johnny does not concentrate in class and can do much better and is disruptive :D

yeah maybe he's bored shitless of blocks and needs some real stimulation

so if your kids acting up maybe its our boring schools and not little johnny?
 
Sounds like a little genius you have right there Southerncross :) Like uuuuuuuumm said before me, I hope that her teachers realize what a gem they have in her and can provide the curriculum to keep her inquisitive mind stimulated.
My wife and I just had our first a year ago. He is barely standing on his own, but it just amazes me his focus and attentiveness. Cant wait till he can click a computer mouse so I show him how to buy his first silver coins. Start him stacking early in life like I should of.
