1. China 1991; Panda 10th Anniversary Silver Medal; 103.31g (3.3oz ASW); Mintage 2000;
Never seen this medal before but from that pic, I can see the words on that medal should be a "Gold panda coin 10th Anniversaryl"

Hello lionfishcoin ... Thanks for recognizing this rarity

Actually one of the motives behind this little contest and future contests (besides stirring up some fun !) on this forum was to expose members here to some very interesting Chinese Pandas that many people are not familiar with.

This 1991 10th Anniversary has a reported mintage of 2,000 coins but I can tell you that this coin is very rarely seen anywhere for sale. There was one (NGC PF69) that was being auctioned recently on Heritage Auctions and I bid all the way up to $2,400 and then bailed it sold for approximately $2,800.

I know where there is another for sell right now for about the same price so I have my eye on it

Wow I was really surprized !

I printed out the Fedex shipping label today to ship to Fishball and it was only $19 to ship from Louisiana to Australia !
So Fedex info shows if I ship tomorrow (Thursday here) that it will be delivered by Tuesday which isn't bad for international economy fedex 6 days for around the world and through the weekend as well ... wow !

So I received more "flag label" 70's today and the "Panda labels" 69's & 70's should be here by tomorrow or Friday so in any case Fishy will have this very cool graded panda in hand by next week !

I'm already working on the next competition, better prize but much tougher so get ready !!!

This one is gonna be real sneaky

Thank you comeaux for such a lovely gesture.
Regards Maggie : )
Thank you very much for that kind comment Maggie although mine is microscopic compared to the herculean gauntlet you crushed with a ton of monsters !!! :)

but hey I'm tried !

Trying to put the contest together, keep wifey happy and my infant son while drinking my red wine without making a boneheaded mistake was difficult enough for me ! :D

Thank you comeaux, my hot chocolates were much in need for me to get any rest. Our members of silverstackers must take all the credit, I only serve them as best as I can.
kind regards Maggie

I will put one away for you plata, maybe Mrs Plata will buy one for xmas for you.
Regards Maggie

thanks comeaux, lovely coin!

I think I'm gonna enjoy slabbed coins pretty soon...they're hot.

Hi I wanna grab one piece, how much are they?

Base price is $55USD.
Exchange rate: $x.xx
PayPal Fees not sure: $x.xx
Possible Custom Fees: $x.xx
If picking up at the Sydney or PerthStacker Meet $0 F2F.
If requires postage, $13.40 (Plat. Post).

This first ten have been taken... hopefully if we're really good, Comeaux may release more at this amazingly superb price :)

Quick Maths:

Average price of a 2011 Panda (at the present time): $42AUD
Average price of grading: approx $22AUD
Not including the price of NGC membership, delivery fees, waiting times, etc, which add to the price further (and doesn't guarantee a MS69).

Already these Pandas are too cheap! Estimated value, at the minimum $64AUD

Comeaux is indeed very generous... thank you!

These sorts of comps are going to be won by those with many pandas. I favour a more even and random comp!
