Fractional Purchasing - how would you split up an ounce?

a bit late on this one, but i do hold the perspective that the pandas are the best form of bullion, seems like yennus & co has really summed it up well, also the venn diagram is classic, should be in textbooks!

For me, Australians are in business with China whether we like it or not, both the Americans and Europeans have trouble with their collective economies which will be close to impossible to solve, in the new world (or the current one actually), the Chinese have the money to spend and thats why the pandas will be the most liquid/valuable in the future.

With everyone else paying off their debts, the Chinese are still arriving with cash in hand and the first bullion that they would want is pandas. Why dont they buy pandas at home you ask? because they would have run out because of people like us : )

Without a doubt i would spend mt 1600 on pandas, any form of pandas actually, hope that helps mate.
 
Appreciated with the panda advice chaps, but 4x450 (apparently the 1/4 panda going rate) is gonna cost me 1800.

Any cost effective solutions? Mix and match perhaps?

That's only if you buy 2010 ones, if you go for 2011 Pandas the premium is lower, 4x400 should be doable if you shop around (I don't have any, but may get some 2012 ones in the future).
 
China has EXPORT TAX on silver, that must be A component to the price.

this we call a premium/mark up. which is separate from demand push price increases. :cool:

eBay believe it or not. You could still pick up 3 sovs plus a $200 coin for not much more than $1500 if you wait for ok deals to come along.
