hi stackers , i have a twenty dollar last prefix PE 94 polymer note

this is for the serious polymer first and last prefix note collector

the note has no tears , no pin holes , shows folds and creases and a few see thru spots

i have had this note in my collection for 15 years

would grade fine to vf

on ebay i have seen them for 2k to 3k

also i will add a rare set of 1996 4 consec prefixs $ 5 dollar notes with same numbers all in uncirculated condition ( taken from 4 different bundles of 100 notes )

Curious question, but should all notes have a different number (no one note having the same serial) ?

They do technically have a different serial number, they have a different prefix :)

The way notes are printed is in large sheets of 40 notes (i think its 32 notes per sheet for the $100's and $50's), each sheet has an identical number, but a different prefix on each note.

so it looks like this:

AA AI BD BL CG
AB AJ BE BM CH
AC AK BF CA CI
AD AL BG CB CJ
AE AM BH CC CK
AF BA BI CD CL
AG BB BJ CE CM
AH BC BK CF DA

Also, prefix letters only go to the letter M before going to the next letter There are no prefixes for example AN or BZ etc, these prefixes are reserved for test notes, such as the $100 test notes in 1996 (prefixes AN - AZ, BN - BZ and CN to CS.
