I was thinking about this the other day and would be interested in other views. Nobody wants to buy fake silver/gold, but may there be a good reason for doing this?
If the preppers who stack silver and gold believe the whole world is going to crash and burn and their stacks will save them, why wouldn't they have fake coins? In a world of chaos (let's ignore for the minute that someone can just take what you have by pointing a gun at you), how would anyone tell if the coin you were trading with them was fake. It's hard for experienced people to spot fake coins so how would they ever know.
So, if preppers really thought the world as we know it was ending, why not get some cheap fake silver and gold!
