Fake Perth Mint Bars - Chinese Forgery Factories Revealed

Actually this is new information. It's good to see mr futurist chime in. He is a friend of the forum.

Probably worthy of it own post. Might change the title though.

I'm a big fan of Mr. Futurist - to me he's the mad hatter of the stacking world... but in a pleasant an eccentric way, rather than the usual paranoid doomsday preppers you see around...

Interesting comments from him too, he's always got an intriguing insight or viewpoint. :D

He's pretty switched on, he's just a fast talker and stutters a bit. Like his brain is too fast for his mouth.
Refreshing to hear someone talk candidly stutter or not

the guy is a bit of a weirdo i reckon

As opposed to the social butterflies that gather at stacker meets?

I'm quite happy in knowing people may find me a little eccentric - there's no such thing as normal - and to strive to be such is the most depressing trait a human being can exhibit...

*Just my opinion of course... :p

Youse better not call me weird or eccentric or I'll bring my trained attack turkey to the next meet, stacks gone in sixty seconds and me with a B B BB B B Bush an P P PPP P Pan for the next week at home. No offf of off of officer it was the turkey what did it, an I put im in the FFF FFF Ff freezer NNnnn nn now. :)

Joe(silverfuturist) is a bit off the main path, but he is one of the few u tubers who isnt selling something. He tries to educate others about PMs.A little eccentric perhaps but he means well.He does love his chickens and watch out when he opens the mystery door behind him in the video.lol

As part of hopefully the anti-herd, thats a big "AAAAAAAB" from me.

Looks more like he has a little trouble reading and brain running faster than his mouth, than having an issue with stuttering.

Counterfeit gold bars are terrible news, but certainly worth more than fiat money - I mean, they have intrinsic value! :P

Gosh, I hope they catch the counterfeiters. I can't stand fakes. From fake Rolexes to fake bullion coins... fake anything is disgusting.

I would like to see some photos of the fake bars to see "how well" they faked them, to be able to spot the fakes from genuine products.

The best part of Silvers run up to $50 last year was definitely watching Silverfuturists daily videos! Haha.

I know Joe personally. We chat online from time to time (I also chat with Drutter if any of you know him). Joe's an eccentric for sure, but also very clear minded and thought provoking.

We've had some great discussions.

As for the topic at hand, my biggest concern is what is being done by PM and the Australian Federal Police over the issue.

So far, I'm not hearing much there.

Perhaps Bron can provide an update on what's happening in tracking these people down and prosecuting them?

The Federal Police know about it. The chances of Chinese authorities working with them to shut these guys down, well what do you think ...

It's not an AFP issue as it is not currency being counterfeited.

edit - well, would explain why the response is lackluster.

If anyone remembers the real estate fraud in Perth where a guy had an investment property sold out from underneath him by scammers, the Bank of China simply ignored police requests for information on who had received the money - the last report I saw was that their requests weren't even acknowledged let alone acted on.

I can imagine he's a lovely fella to chat to - there's not many people in the stacking world or even as a 'personality' where I'd think - I'd love to meet that fella, shake his hand and have a few hours of meaningful discourse... Joe'd be one of them though.

The fact you two know each other does not surprise me, your both very much of the same intellect and philosphy in a number of ways. :D

Still freely available online - quite a variety of other bars too. Some labelled layered or copy but mostly not.
