After work I stopped by at one of the Pawnshop on the goldie.Looked at the front display.Couple of good looking 1oz silver coins.One of them was a 2000 1oz kook.

I asked the guy what is the price: he said $400:) I was like: Ur crazy?:) ..and then he told me I dont know nothing about coins and I need to check in the book:) which book? User guide for pawnbrokers how to rip off innocent shoppers?:)

Anyway,I laughed at him and left.What a joke! $400 for 1oz coin!
 
ask him how much will he buy other kooks. If he tells you $100 an oz; we will give him all the kooks he want.

I know a pawnbroker that still thinks people buy silverware like they did in the 80's :lol:
His windows are covered in it :rolleyes:
And of course he never sells any of it :lol:
Most of them think they know everything :lol:
It's good to take them down a notch or two occasionally ;)

isn't pawn shop buy at 40% and sell it back at 80%? need to find a good pawn shop in melb

Chapel st pawnbrokers ,between Malvern rd & Chasers on Chapel st ,the most honest & user friendly brothers I've ever come across ;)
 
pfffttt there won't be any silver left after you goes in...just let me know what days you are not there...so i have a chance...:D

I've got a few pawnbrokers down to $1.20-$2 gm for jewellery
He want budge from $4gm ,he gets $900 for shield Sovereigns ;) they know they're numi's :D
 
I used to look & come inside pawn shop along haymarket, hope to find a bargain.............. is never happen :lol:

Was it a proof coin?


I live on the Gold Coast and would like to see this for my self :) Which pawn shop was it? Was it a cash converters and if so where?

I ahe some 1oz kooks might try my luck with lol lol lol

I'll be damned.. Chasers is still going? Last time I went there was when they played happy hard core back in 2000 before I moved back to WA. Guess now its Drum and Bass or some such?

Well the name is still the same ,it got sold to some Arab Sultan Prince of something . :lol:
Not what it was in the 80's
Or the 70's , I wasn't there than ,but I know people who were .
And I know the former owners ;)
