The merger of Conquest (CQT) and Catalpa (CAH)

3.4m ounces combined Au Eq reserves over 4 producing mines and 1 mine development - ranging from 5 -12 year mine life(s)

Newcrest Mining owns 1/3 interest

The Eq Au is made up of combined Gold and Silver with some copper thrown in

300koz Au production in 2011 targeting over 400koz Au in 2 years

I am very excited about this company - been following Conquest for a while and they have done well. This is one of my plays to ride out this bull.

This company is my prime saddle for this bull market

One thing i am pleased to see is they are offering internship programs for university geologists - this shows a well thought out growth strategy and a way of finding the best up and coming 'talent'.

There are a few risks, like managment not gelling well, Newcrest selling down, extension of mine life(s) not economical etc... so lots can go wrong, but a big plus is that the managment know how to opperate a bigger gold company. Jake Klein and the Conquest crew managed Sino Gold until it was taken over by a Chinese company, they also are very up to date on the Gold/Silver and PGM fundamentals and bull market - big pluse for me. I have a company that I personally have the same outlook on the markets as they do.

One thing i am hoping to see is this company offer a dividend - may take a year or two but I am hoping for Evolution to become a regular Dividend paying miner _ no indication from managment on this issue - just something I would like to see.

One other thing I would like to see is country diversification

So these are the things I will be looking at over the next few years for this stock.

Feel free to comment or to tell me im dreaming - if you see something I cant see please let me know _ im probably too emotionally involved with this company now to see it :)

By in large my favorite ASX precious metals stock

Newcrest
Evolution
Kingsgate

these three form the core of my producing gold stocks - given my exclusion of African focused companies for personal reasons.

I am very pleased with Jake Klien, his track record has been impressive and the turn around of Pajingo is testimony.

Here is the presentation given to the Sydney Mining Club 29th March 2012

Whats SS - is that silver standard?

I have a friend who works for a brokerage firm and the professionals are all over medusa and persius - but I think thats because of a love affair they have with the short term results.

I stay away from Africa because its very much as unstable as the middle east in my humble opinion.
Its elephant contry which makes it a target for rebel groups in the future.

Just my humble opinion

Can you tell me why in your opinion that the stock is falling if the latest info shows such great potential?

Also, I am new to this and so please bear with me... noob here with ASX... when will they predict to start giving dividends??

Thanks SilverSanchez.... Shiny.

They haven't mentioned dividends

The stock (along with the entire XGD GoldIndex) is falling because of gold price weakness which is most probably due to a combination of
- Extreme over-bought at US1900
- alternative investments doing better in the short term
- general fear of the sector considering a few respected chart people and media saying gold's bull run is over
- a decreasing valuation on gold spot price over the next 5 years by investment firms and valuation agencies
- fear rising cash costs (taxes, fuel etc) will chew up profits

FYI - buy at 100% own risk

I really appreciate your time... and absolutely, I will consider all risk.

Thanks x100.

Unfortunatly this stock has returned to some strength - Jake Klien spent about $90k buying at 1.35
I may still see my target price of 1.25 - but im starting to doubt it - It would have to take another fear selloff before the end of June.

Im not holding high hope for this stock to return to 1.35 - but as per my rules - i dont chase the price
I have my core possition and a little is better than none.

Evolution Bought a new project near their existing project

I bought some EVN @ 1.48

Could still dip to 1.40 - dont see it going past there

I think we both got win-win ;)

Since oil has been down - im expecting all the producers I own to exceed projection for the quarter

I believe possitive surprise to the market will help people realise how undervalued these babies are - could be a catalyst for something bigger - we'll see

Broke the psychological $2.00 barrier to close at $2.01 on Friday.

Volume solid, RSI 65 which is high but not oversold. Here's hoping it can turn $2.00 resistance into support.

Could come down to 1.5 but might have made a bottom already...

This company has done exactly what I trusted it could do - turn around existing mines, bring more online, and find new resources

Exactly why I loaded in back when it was Conquest turning around pagingo mine, I still hold that this is one of the stocks ill be riding this bull with. I think it will be there at the end unless Newcrest take it over, which I dont think they will do because they have leverage through the 1/3 ownership, that they wouldnt have in their deposits alone.
