Yeah it's awesome actually... definitely an experienced hand bought this coin. This is one of those coins with a 2,000 mintage but there's far fewer about than that number, the purchaser knows this thats the reason it went for 10k. I've been watching ebay auctions for almost a year and haven't seen this piedfort version yet.

Brief low accuracy translation: In addition, based on the experience of some old timers eg. Robert Mish with 20 years MCC experience he's only seen like 4 coins ever. Compare that with other 1980s MCC of which he has seen plenty. Also, according to <Chinese Dude who is probably famous but I don't know> the sports stuff shows up once a while but the piefort Gold YOTC only showed up once in 10 years of his experience.

Perhaps a little cheap but these buyers are a bit cheeky, 30,000 mintage asking around 1k for a 69... I'd seriously advise not to buy at this price, TOO MANY MINTED and they're common on ebay. Rather have one of the big 4 expo coins (banknote, jinan etc... the the other 2 escape me) or possibly the Shanghai expo coin of '97 if you're going to buy these expensive issues. I bought a PF69 '99 beiJing expo coin recently for $280.00 delivered which is far fairer.
The '98 expo coin is listed on chin-mint-site as BU, jclotsa8s the same site has the '99 as proof fyi... mine is correctly labeled.
Pandastats and the LBC sold list will tell us if these pricey coins are actually selling or not.

I don't recall there being a 1989 MS69 Guanyin apart from the 5oz which goes for 2-3k, not 365.
The 1oz ones from 97-99 usually go around 300, the 1/2oz are exponentially more expensive (talking silver here).
There's some gold ones with holo thingy & normal gold ones but that's for another discussion.
