Can anyone relate to this and help?

How hard is it for them to just remove USD from being accepted on the current platform? They aren't stupid, they know they are making that extra 10% or so on every sale to someone in the US. It couldn't take their web people more than 5 minutes to fix that and if it does they should fire them and get new web people.wsd_collector said:db23 said:Seems like Downies is the only one charging GST even to buyers outside of Australia.
Perth's site doesn't charge GST to people in the US and Direct Coins removes it once you enter a non-Australia shipping address. Also gotta love the fact that Downies doesn't do a Forex conversion on their site, I'm sure they'd much prefer to sell them all overseas on their site as they'd make more money that way.
The Downies site was removing GST at the end of checkout as well for non Australian buyers. At least for us Canadians anyways...I found it funny that Downies charges you the same amount in USD if you have a US shipping address, but everyone else gets charged that $ amount in AUD. Effectively, Americans pay an almost 10% extra when shopping at Downies.
This and the free shipping is why I waited and ordered a few from Perth Mint.
Maybe they "fixed" their system to remove that accidental free shipping to the US? If I log in I also see $30 shipping.wsd_collector said:db23 said:I emailed them and asked about this and was told they were implementing a new platform soon and everyone would just be charged AUD then. On the bright side, net amount isnt really 10%, Canadians get charged $30 in shipping, the US gets charged an extra 10% but get free shipping.
I was wasting time trying to get both free shipping and 10% but they sold out by then.

Not anymore I guess, shows as $30 in the cart and their shipping page indicates that the US is in Zone C for $30 shipping.wsd_collector said:db23 said:Maybe they "fixed" their system to remove that accidental free shipping to the US? It's free shipping over $500 to the US but $30 to Canada...do you not see that anymore?

Pretty sure that's the old school Donald, not exactly the Donald we are used to seeing. Gold $663 USD for this - good luck with that guys.

Scheduled to be unveiled throughout the next two years, the future releases will showcase Disney classic characters such as Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Pocahontas.
Nice to see Downies is listening to these boards, just got an email newsletter indicating that customers in the US will now pay in AUD starting today and California residents will no longer have to pay sales tax.wsd_collector said:db23 said:Maybe they "fixed" their system to remove that accidental free shipping to the US?
