French manufacturing?!?! What do they make?

I thought France rode on the snails back? :P

It's more akin to a slow motion car crash IMHO.

Dodgy cars are the only thing I can think of - Renault, Peugeot, Citroen

Although I would also expect them to feature prominently on the list of countries manufacturing white flags.
