I remember when the Wedge Tailed Eagle coins were first released. They were an order for an American distributor who had them all graded and slabbed for sale.

Someone (possibly on here) pointed out that Aust legal tender coins needed to have available 10% of any mintage for sale domestically not all overseas. Perth Mint belatedly released 5000 coins here but never mentioned whether that was included or above the total mintage of 50000.

Using the term Florin and having a face value of two shillings circumvents the Aust currency requirements so the overseas distributor gets them all to themselves for retailing.

Does anyone know where the gazetted coin approvals are listed? If it's official legal tender then similar situation to the 2014 Wedge Tails might have occurred?​
