I've always wanted to spend a few grand on tools but don't know which ones - and the big issue - not enough room to store them or work on things properly.Boyou said:Anyhoo ,this is what lights my fire.Do you make things?

I reckon it fits together fairly well..structurally sound and the Spotted Gum timber I used seems to rhyme well with the brass and copper tones.
The metal will darken over time and the poly finish deepen in colour ..hope it ages gracefully
On the top I have mounted a Perth Mint Commemorative Copper/Bronze ,,to echo the Swan symbol on the Calendar round. The rest is just hand cut brass..
The commemorative was already holed before I got it .so I just put a discreet screw to hold it in place ,rather than use glue ..too permenant and too harsh on the old king in obverse

I might make them to order ,one day,but at the moment this is just a hobby. And I never know how they will turn out ...they sort of evolve and mature like humans and cheese![]()
