Hiya house, unfortunately i too have met people that did the same as your old couple.
We are in an interesting period as far as silver and other pm's are concerned.
I try to imagine the thoughts people must have had back in 1980, and what the talk on forums would have been like (had they been around)
I know alot has changed in the world, but alot has also stayed the same.
There is only so much pity i can give to those that lost their shirts and sunk their families into debt.
With that said the like of Maloney and Duane put up pretty convincing arguments and i do NOT BELIEVE FOR 1 SECOND that they believe their own stories.
Once those people got a hold of a captive audience and submerged them in the youtube world of stories THAT SUPPORTED THEIR DREAMS ,it was game over.
I sold in the 40s (should have sold it all) but what really has me excited for the future is the similarities between 1980 and 2011.
This was an almost identical run up in price for 2 totally different fundamental reasons.
This gives me faith that exactly the same thing will happen again in the future, and that time around i will sell everything we have and make money off the backs off that generation of "Get rich quickers"

They are really weaving a story and maybe have very large positions in metals. If silver peaks in the 40s again they can sell for a substantial profit, and when it innevitably drops they can blame the "manipulators" and "banksters" and their target audience will lap it up rather than blame them when those with hopes of easy money buy near the top and see their "investments" evaporate when the down cycle returns.
They seem a bit like penny stock rampers, stirring up customers into a frenzy.
Its not unfortunate for people to spend near a high and lose money its common and happens when people do not watch both the market or news not bad just bad investing. If someone wants to stack silver u better be able to forget it,u better have fiat u could careless.
My point is again this,buy silver. Fiat is going to lose. I buy it and I am better off because of it how about that pretty simple to understand. If people do not see a deal at this point anywhere under $40 for silver then they are a foolish investor I think.T

I can not believe how rude and uncaring u folks are here. All that keep writing trash in the thread here should be ashamed of yourselves. At this point the mods here can just kick me off the site here if this is what they think is ok treatment at me. Go ahead.
