Discover Australia Series - any owners?

Afternoon chaps,

Wondering if you can help me. I'm becoming increasingly obsessed with the Discover Australia series. I'm starting to form an idea to get all 3 series soon. Does anyone else have this series - or can they advise me if this is a good/bad purchase?

let me quote a pikey chap i know who once said to me "coins are for show, bull is for a pro".

Same fellow got all obsessed with gilded kooks, got 3/4 to completing the set then decided he was getting to attached to them and got rid of them.

Who knows what goes on inside the mind of a pikey.
 
I have some 1/25 gold coins from this series that I want to divest myself of.

Also have a 1 oz kook that I use as my avatar.

Wouldn't say I collect the series but I do have a few Gold fractional pieces. Not sure exactly but if you are after some of these, I may be interested in a swap if you like. Would need to check first what is there. Pretty sure 1/10 and 1/25's ? about 3 pieces in total from memory.

I'm waiting for CK to get back to me too, I've currently got a 1/25 coin each from the 2009 and 2010 set.

Going to have a look if you can buy display cases via perth mint seperately today. Just happy now I've built up a decent enough trading stack that I can actually afford some nice display cabinet pieces. :)

1/25 2008 Dolphin (Series 1)
1/10 2007 Echidna (Series 1)
1/10 2006 Koala (Series 1)

As GP's mentioned - there's been quite a few passing around recently. you'll definitely pick them up at a good price - I've bought a few series' off here before... :D
 
I have two sets of the 2009 and 2010 1 oz silver coins and coincidently the coins from both yrs are the same mint no's. I would be willing to sell one set from each year if you are interested
 
I just got a set of these 1/25 gold from each year of the series 1. I think I got a pretty good price on them. I was wanting to know what others think the market value for these sets are.
