...differences? Maybe?

The Sunshine & JM Bars are both minted by The Sunshine Mint. The GSM bars obviously by Golden State Mint. I find the fact that GM is using a picture of an older REAL JM bar to be a bit sketchy. I can guarantee that the one you would buy is a Sunshine minted JM Bar.

It's all about what the dealer can get them for at their cost. Some mints charge more for their product, sometimes there's just a higher profit margin. There really is no true science to the pricing.

db23---Gotta hand it to you! You're absolutely right that those 1oz J-M bars are minted by Sunshine. I just talked to the Goldmart people on the phone and they confirmed that. You just burst one
of the very few bubbles I still had left. This is as disappointing as finding out my favorite Hollywood sweetie is actually just another botox-and-silicone enhanced bleach blonde. Major bummer!!
I've been on a strict, exclusive Engelhard diet for a while now and I think that diet just got made permanent!

I read this on some other forums about goldmart. It sounds like they have a bunch of problems.

The current BBB rating is B+ for Goldmart.

Dear Valued Goldmart.com Customer,

Currently we are experiencing technical difficulties as our live price feed is off. The company providing our live price feed went out of business on Tuesday and we are scrambling to find a replacement by the end of the week. If you want to place an order, all orders will have to manually be made over the phone until we can provide an accurate live price feed. In the mean time we will be using the Kitco.com Ask price. Sorry about the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Goldmart.com

What are the odds that Goldmart is moving offices and all their equipment fails the same exact time and day that PFGBEST goes bust..... I am not a in any way conspiracy theorist in any way but this seems like way to coincidental. It looks like 215 million is missing and none of the money was insured. also I agree with the previous post that any operation especially when you are dealing with the highly volatile metals market would already have the tech online in the new location... sounds like a cover up

I'm starting to get concerned, no update to my account, still saying processing. I've called 1x today, got voicemail, going to keep calling today till I get someone. If they can't fulfill the order that's fine but they need to wire my money back to me so I can place it somewhere. I wired the money last Tuesday 7/10, I should have some sort of update, it's just bad business. Amazon / eBay are never this slow w/ updates.

I placed an order back on 6/25, sent a check by mail, and I'm still waiting. I called Goldmart yesterday and got a hold of someone but they told me they would call me back which of course they did not. I don't know if they are going to ship or not but I definitely would not order from them again. Today they don't even answer the phone so all I can do is leave a voicemail.
I've purchased from them 2x. No problems at all. Do love their prices!

Placed a phone order on 2012-07-10 after their move, and after their live price feed went down. They cashed the check on 2012-07-17.

Given their recent moving, personnel and technical issues, any idea on when I can expect a package? Their website isn't as slick as APMEX's, and their sales department hasn't responded to any of my e-mail inquiries
Don't buy from Goldmart. I lost my first order and they don't even bother to help me open a claim with post office. I keep calling Nick and everytime i talk to him, he always says i'll take care of it today but he never have. And he's also so rude and mean. After many times hearing him say the same thing without seeing any result, i asked him how much longer should I wait. And he said he was going to lunch and he didn't want me to ruin his lunch. WTF is that? I've never dealth with any customer service as bad as they are. It's true that their price is competitive. But their service SUCK! and they're not really helpful if you have problems with your order. I emailed them many times and they have never replied to it. Everytime I call, every 1 minute, that mean person put me on hold - over and over again.

Buy it from somewhere else, Goldmart doesn't deserve a business!!!!

So, I stumbled on to this forum because I was trying to see if anyone else has been ripped off by Goldmart.com.
I order PM's 3 weeks ago and till today I have been told repeatedly that my shipment is going out tomorrow, tomorrow and again tomorrow. They do not have any inventory. They have items on the website that states in stock yet they are not. I was told by their manager Nick that their insurance has lapsed into a month to month and that they can not insure shipments. These guys are selling stuff they do not have. I believe they will end up like MF Global. I am about to start fraud proceedings against them.

I've placed orders with Goldmart 8 times since August 2012 and never had any problems. They moved from their old location in California to their present place in Carson City Nevada---I think back in 2011, before I started ordering from them. When they moved, I know they got screwed up and caught some bad reviews. Other than that, I haven't thus far seen any other genuine bad press on them. I've gotten ASEs, CSMs and Pandas from them and never got any unacceptable product or had any significant problems. I'm also in another coin/PM forum and never heard anything bad about them over there. I've dealt with Nick and others there and they were never rude to me. They've always responded quickly to any emails I sent them and personally, I find their website less clunky and hesitating than the APMEX site. The worst thing I can say about Goldmart is they've got that "holding period" between when they receive my payment and when they ship my order but they're up front about it and every online dealer does that same holding period thing, so there's nothing unique there. They've never treated me badly. However, after seeing that 2/26/13 post below I may tread carefully...

Mjduzane---Where did that 2/26/13 post come from? I need to research the full story on that one. Also, have you had any bad experiences with Goldmart yourself or was your post just stuff you got elsewhere? If you got it elsewhere, please tell where. Your input makes me feel a strong need to re-do my previous research. I don't choose online dealers casually and your input is definitely unsettling, so I really hope you can point me toward your sources. Many thanks for your help.

@ Stacker55 - you've had a few posts up in various places about what to do, what to buy, etc. I don't want to rehash the advice given for those but with respect to the question about trusting Goldmark, my suggestion would be trust them to the extent that they can supply and deliver what you want cheaper than a competitor. If you have any doubts about wither supply or delivery, for the moment and until you are comfortable, choose another supplier.

With regard to the differences between the products you listed in your original post, as others said, they are different although similar products and cost to you depends on cost to the supplier.

Mjduzane---Thanks for the sources. I'm familiar w/ CCF. The most recent post in that thread was over 8 months ago and I've dealt extensively and satisfactorily w/ GM since then, so that thread doesn't bother me. That 2/26 post in Pmbug is somewhat unsettling, but it's hard to tell if it's 100% legit or bitter sour grapes. Well -- I guess "time will tell what it may" -- as it always does. Thanks again for the sources.
