I was a member of silver Stackers a number of years ago. I have been attacked be a person with a gun ( which turned out to be false. I believe that I was targeted because I advertised on Gumtree. I would like to advise all members to be careful when advertising. Regards Laurie

You were not shure if u were attacked by somone with a gun??
 
the gun proved to being not a real gun after I took it of the intruder and pulled the trigger, The gun looked real to me.

Attacked or robbed by somebody saying they have a gun is for the victim in most instances as real as a gun being involved and the reason the law treats it as such.

I have all my purchases on here and from bullion dealers sent to a different address to which I actually live to minimise possible infiltration from the criminally minded, only my wife and I know where my stack is kept safe but thanks for the heads up. :)

Its not were you keep your stack, when you have a home attack you are better to have it else were like a bank. It cost me $100 for a year for a box which I supplied and all my gold went there. Silver is another matter

Were you pointing this gun at the intruders face when you pulled the trigger to see if it was a real gun?
 
Sounds a little odd.

So you were invaded by armed intruder(s), you managed to disarm him, then turned the firearm on the intruder with the intent to use it and it didn't work?

So whaf happened from there? Awkward silence? He bolted? A scuffle? More information is definitely required to validate some of these claims.

Though I do agree that Gumtree is market place for crooks, scammers, tweakers and general lowllifes . Generally speakimg of course :)
