Well here is the guts of it from where i stand.
I have these numbers in NZD so i do not have to jump from USD to NZD.
The highest price for gas at the pump we have paid here in NZ $2.26 a litre in 2013 at the time a barrel of oil was $143.
Now here we are in 2015 and the price at the pump has just dropped to $1.99 a litre and a barrel of oil is $61.91.
So even though they can do whatever they please (and they do ) we the consumer are getting royally screwed.
All things being equal we should be paying at LEAST 25% less than this and they would still be making huge profits.
The pricks have us over a barrel LOL and they can do whatever the heck they want.
The thing that really peeves me off is they try to justify the prices with a load of jargon that Joe Average probably believes.
They can do as they wish, but i get so so angry that they feel the need to LIE about the pricing like we are all idiots.
Just tell the FN truth, it is your business and you can price whatever you want , but stop treating me like a MORON by telling these porkies.

Ye those numbers are just WRONG........As you say petrol should be at least 25% lower.

How do you guys in NZ survive with such high petrol prices???

If it goes much lower i will owe JPSHmorgan an apology.
He called $30 and i said. NAH! and by $30 i am happy to concede at $35 it doe not have to be $30flat, cause even at $35 id have never thought it was going to happen.

My numbers are wrong or the price we are paying at the pump?
I was pretty sure i had all the number correct.
And keep in mind this is per litre NOT gallon.
