Hey everyone
Was at the coin shop and saw the multicored 10 and 5 yuan multicolored set for $130 at a coin shop. I thought it was a good deal at first as it passed the real inspection test, had a genuine COA for each coin. This two coin set looked like a good deal as it's mintage of 100,000 can really explode further in price overnight.
But upon further inspection, the half oz coin had small cracks at the outer edge of capsule and the full oz 10Y coin looked like it had some tarnish or what seemed to be a slight whitish milk spot on the reverse side of the coin (where it says 1997).
I passed on the coin and told the owner I would be back the next day to get it if I changed my mind.
What do you guys think? Did I pass on a great deal or was it good to play safe for now?
