CIT launch loads for ANA. Trilobite and an awesome skull coin

The original series is the Evolution of Life beginning with the very cool Ammonite coin. I can tell you first hand that the Ammonite coin is a real work of art. If the Evolution of Life Trilobite coin is the same quality as the Ammonite coin, then it has to be a marvelous coin that will delight every time you hold it in your hand to marvel at it.

The only place I could find the new Palau 3D Skull coin being sold is on eBay from a Germany dealer.

These 2 images are from that dealer's auction listing - the price tag seems hefty but perhaps much money and work went into designing and producing such a coin:

CIT states in their website higher mintage, 2750:

Art.No. 27800
Country Palau
Year 2016
Face value 5 Dollars
Metal Silver .999
Weight 1 oz
Size 38.61 mm mm
Quality Antique finish
Mintage 2750 pcs

Golden even 15k!

It doesn't have to be cute and cuddly every time and these CIT issues are far from it. Skull No 1, made of one ounce of fine silver, not only has a unique shape. Its smartminting relief is also outstanding in the truest sense of the word and accentuated with an antiquefinish. The collector's coin is rounded off with an eerily beautiful packaging. The Golden Skull features an equally mesmerising design, albeit in the small, well-known 11 mm, 0.5 g format.

I found some Russian side:

I don't understand Russian, but with help of web browser everything is possible. ;)

The gold version of the Palau Skull coin looks like crap and it's minuscule....0.5 grams....I think a flea weighs more than that! :)

Are you referring to this listing?

Seems like the only dealer who has it for sale right now. Can't tell if that price is exorbitant or normal.

Yes, that's the one. You are right, we can't tell if the price is exorbitant or not.

Clearly a tremendous amount of work went into producing this coin. A high quality video of the coin should give buyers an even better idea of the quality.

They confirmed to us it's a typo. Mintage is 1750.

The 15,000 mintage for the minigold is pretty standard for them. I get the impression that the format is very popular in parts of Europe as CIT have issued over a hundred of them in the last decade. It seems to be a format getting more popular as well.

Still haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm hoping that First Coin Co. will get the skull coin in....I haven't found it in their inventory yet but I'm hoping they do because I get great service and prices there.
