@ 23m30s discusses - what else? - almost systemic rip-offs of Chinese consumers with sales of fake gold. Their products are likely available here in Australia. I have some panda gold coins that I bought here on SS but have not had them assayed.

Gold panda coins are awesome, have 1s from 80s to more modern ones...majority bought here on SS from veteran stackers. I have no fears whatsoever bout any fakes. PM bars,etc theres fakes from every mint and if one has any worries then verifier will prove that all are good as gold. Forum thrives on trust and faith and i've got both in any products purchased from members here

I agree with the above. I absolutely LOVE Chinese gold coins. I am a legally USA born Asian American whos mom immigrated to the USA "Legally" after marrying my Dad. There are actually just as many if not more fakes of other world coins especially USA coins.

If you are buying fake coins its a result of 2 things.

1) your purchasing from the wrong source
2) you don't know what you are doing and have not done research to understand what you are buying.

Chinese Pandas in hand are one of the easiest coins to authenticate because the details are sharp and the quality of the authentic coins are second to none.

Sure I like USA and world coins but lets not mislead people to think because its Chinese its bad.

The Chinese government is bad sure but that does not make all Chinese people or the products they create bad.
