Cheap Ebay Pandas

Hi all, I know this topic has probably been done to death.
As a new stacker, looking at Pandas, I came across this listing on Ebay Australia - there are several by same seller.

Looks to be obvious fake???

What concerns me is people have bid on these and they will end up in Aussie market place.

Where should I be looking to purchase Pandas other than here and site sponsors?

Any tips on avoiding fakes from private sellers who may think in good faith they have an original purchased from an ebay seller such as the link above?

Why do you think this is fake? Looks OK to me.

One of the best ways is to buy graded Panda while they are cheap now. Get the top graded MS70
 
The bidding hasn't ended yet :)

Some fakes get sold on Ebay which use genuine Panda pictures, but the seller swaps the Panda with a fake one.

I wouldn't be too concerned about fake Pandas, the fear of fakes is usually greater than the reality. I don't think there are any super-fake Pandas in existence yet - a forger would probably work on something much easier to fake (like a design that doesn't change from year to year).

You can pickup a few Pandas from KJC if you want the added peace of mind.

Honestly, I would not bid. Not because it looks fake but the country the seller is from is a risk to bear.
Not saying all sellers from China sell fake, I do know a few good ones.
Given the complains from buyers that the 2013 Pandas are underweight, even for genuine ones, I have only bought MS70 ones
 
I have almost exclusively purchased hundreds of silver pandas on Ebay. As long as the plastic pouch on OMP coins is from one of the 3 Chinese mints and there is a denomination on the coin it is a safe buy even for a new MCC collector 95% of the time. Nearly all fakes are from China and are offered by sellers with very low feedback #s or feedback that has not made any sales for over a year. As long as a seller has a return policy you can feel comfortable purchasing panda's from them as you know you can get your $ back if it is fake. I have purchased my share of fake pandas but I have received my $ back every time. Ebay is unfortunately one of the few places a collector can find older rare pandas for sale at reasonable prices.
