Case for silver currency

So I understand viruses cannot replicate on silver ( at least bullion grade). That makes it a very attractive physical form of currency (given the current and future pandemic scene) which incedently has been used more than gold in day to day transactions throughout history. Does anyone think this is a possibility? Or am I just stacker dreaming?
 
This idea that viruses can’t replicate on silver bullion needs to be properly tested. Easy enough. IRL example - say someone wiped a gorby on a round and then sold it half an hour later. That’s more meaningful than plates in a lab

Hope you realise this might affect any premium attached to the item. The rule generally goes "gorby on, premium off".

How about opening a capsule and breathing inside one side of one then close again. Do one empty and one with Ag coin inside and put them away for a week or so and see what the ssscience says. Need .999 but not Perth Mint because their immunity to viral outbreaks is already damaged.
 
Cooper is much better at disrupting replications of germs, bacteria, yeast/fungus and virus than silver.
