The police seems to elude that this is related a stabbing earlier in the morning, hope it wasn't the case of the stabber being spotted by police and police giving chase, which led to this.

Especially since police seems to be on site in numbers within seconds.

I'm not judging anything but I hope it wasn't a chase gone bad.

James "Jimmy" Gargasoulas, 26, currently on bail after being charged with family violence offences last weekend.

He is known to police for drug-related issues, family violence assaults and has "an extensive family violence history".

It is understood that police began pursuing Mr Gargasoulas on Friday in a maroon-coloured sedan after he allegedly took a woman hostage, who later escaped on the Bolte Bridge.


I highly doubt this is a "radical Islam terrorist" - just a mentally unhinged drug user from Melbourne.
