Can anyone identify this brand of bullion?

picked it up today as a random 10oz score. Had a choice between this and an oldschool Perth Mint credit card type 10ozer. Went for the obscurity, got no idea what company it is..

anyone? class? anyone? Bueller?

I got my first little ingot when I was in primary school. Lately when I thought about getting into PMs i remembered this and fossicked for it at my parents place.. alas ... i was hoping it was a big ingot... it came in at 10g.. oh well.. all good. a start is a start :)

It has the same mark as yours and on the other.. it says Harringtons (of Australia). I showed this to Aurora at the sydney ss wed beer session, he mentioned they were bought out by I think two mints, the last being the Perth mint...

my two cents... anyone else to confirm?

edit: hobo beat me to it while i was checking my 10g... above the TON you can see inside the circle an inscription... it reads as HAR with the A sharing its arms with the H and R...
 
Interesting pour pattern too, the silver must be cooling very quickly to get those concentric circles... dont see that these days!
 
yeah i love that stuff too. seen some 1kg ainslie blobs that have it. The back of the Scottsdale Silver stackers are great too. Hypnotic, but they're minted that way, not a natural pattern.
 
haha nice... it almost looks like a knotted wood grain... very cool! and the back of scottsdales are quite trippy :)
 
yeah i was offered them at a price probably a touch lower than the usual rate, was gonna get both of them but then got offered some proof gold coins at a touch lower than the usual rate also. Pays to maintain a healthy relationship with your bullion dealers :)
 
Any chance; Blockhead! Is that 10 oz Perth mint old school bar still up for sale from the dealer?

Sorry, I meant if both bars were offered at the same price at the same moment?
Or did the PM bar cost like $10 more?
 
the new school pm bars usually cost more but these musta just been random stuff someone brought in. but yeah, i got offered them at a slightly lower rate. nothing outrageously cheap, just ten bucks cheaper.

just reread your question, sorry, yeah the PM bar was just sitting on a desk and i was like, hey, what's that old school Perth mint bar doing, and then he says, oh yeah, i've got this one too, and flopped out the Harrington. Both offered same price at same time. As i understand it, the only reason new PM bars cost more at all the dealers currently is because of PM related shipping charges making life difficult for everyone.
