why isn't it possible to put negative comment in "trades" feedback?

That is why I made this thread, to get a clear consensus on what a buzz means and what exceptions would apply.

Well I had something similar when I made a deal with a stacker and said me stuff was sold pending payment, then made me wait 3 days to then say an unexpected bill came up and couldn't pay. I let it slide even after the fact in the same day sold a roll or 1oz for over 1k. Sometime you just have to take one in the chin. Just remember that person later down the track

I had someone buzz in a sale thread recently, then retracted once he/she realised there was no box or CoA (even though it was mentioned in the first paragraph).

Meh. Into the black book.

That is my whole point of making this thread, there seems to be no definition of buzz and even older members who got buzzed on wont give neg feedback thus a buzz seems to be different for every member.

Sad bit for me is, the buzz got in 3 mins before me as I was checking bank for funds. Now this and I bought kooks from GS with the funds other wise I would be asking to sell it to me.
Ps Pm me if you still want to sell as more funds tomorrow.

I dont think buzz is a binding contract be it "formal" or unofficial, nor is it a promise to buy the item.the seller looses nothing if someone does retract their buzz. That being said members should try and make sure they are able to fufil the terms of the seller before buzzing.Negative feedback is not neccesary. I guess when someone sees a bargain they buzz, sometimes without reading the post carefuly..just my thoughts BB

What a buzz is clear and should be rock solid and like a handshake. I have had maybe 90 transactions here that are clean. After the buzz was made with this individual I felt provoked a number of times and brought it up with him and didn't like the reply and lost it . It was not buyer's remorse or any such, nor was it vindictive. I repeat he has lost nothing, and he shows something by having brought up it up in the public area. He has not done it for some academic purpose as he suggests - in my book (not the black one) it was again to provoke or show spite. Obviously anyone could easily trace who he was referring to in this studious enquiry by going back a few posts.

I believe buzz is only a made up thing..you should know that, been here long enough ;) It seems if u buzz it would only give u the edge over pm if u want something as it is faster to write buzz in any thread than send pm,imo...so imo buzz and pm should be about the same and if pm can be cancelled so can buzz...

again,I would not sweat on it too much as yr prices always very competitive and yr item will sell ;)

I think its a good thing though u bought this up as it seems it has never been discussed so we could figure out how we should handle it

I'd say buzz and pm sent should be equal but buzz wins the item as it is faster...one cannot make other to buy anything if the buyer backs up...appropriate feedback can be left if reasonable but we should leave neg feedback for ebay :) we are a bunch of good guys and gals here, keep it that way ;)

That is another reason why a buzz must be clarified as "finicky" says I lost nothing from his withdrawing the buzz but as can be illustrated the seller losse out as time and opportunity is wasted and other buyers loose as they may have wanted to purchase the said item but do not know that it is still available. So it would benefit e forum to have a clear definition of a "buzz" and what is the exceptions in which a buzz can be withdrawn.

Of course it is . A buzz is "il take it " If you dont want it dont buzz.

Im not sure what happened between finicky & hem but im with hem here the pm message should have been no more than exchanging phone numbers or bank details & the deal done in the following hours or first thing this morning . .

If you need to ask questions ask them before you buzz. .

You have 90 transactions, I have over 300 that are clean so what's your point? You keep stating that I provoked you but you would not show the pm's thus showing everybody that I did provoke you and you were reasonable in withdrawing obvious gap in logic which other members can see.

By the way, most normal members would not bother to waste time and effort to "trace" who I was referring to as I did not refer to anyone, I threw out a question that's it. I did not state or even hint "that this situation happend to me" but i guess it would not be obvious to a person with a "guilty" conscience.

That's what I assumed but judging by the varied responses, the assumption is not universal. Maybe it should be sticky somewhere.

I've buzzed things before , changed my mind
But for the sake of $20-$30
It's not worth the drama of backing out , I just paid for it
And suck it up
Even if its $50-$60
If you've buzzed & for what ever reason " don't want it "
Just suck it up , it's not the end of the world ;)
Look at the amount of BS over 1/2 an oz

I personally dont see a big issue if people occasionally back out of a buzz due to extenuating circumstances (ie not just because they changed their mind - provided they are polite about it).

Thats the point of someone else throwing in a backup buzz... for those just in case circumstances.

If you want to be militant about it and say a buzz is a buzz REGARDLESS ... then thats your perogitive, but I feel that if you force the buzz issue with someone who is wanting to back out (ie YOU MUST BUY THIS COZ U BUZZED) you might not see much business from the person again.

Just my 2c.
