Buying experience at Ainslie

Boneyard post 58..This post brought to my attention that I have become a little lax myself when buying from the local coin and bullion shop..I will start once again to take more notice when I leave the shop and also after I get in the car to make sure that I am not being followed.

You can't be too careful when you are dealing with PM's.

yes,I would like the buy back coin bargain option which he refused to check ..so what is reason to go back? buy that ugly bar of theirs?:)

Well if you visited again a number of times you might have figured out what times of the day they are busy and then try going when they are not busy and ask to look at their coins.

There are a number of dealers I've dealt with for years that are happy to have a chat if you visit at the end of a slow day, but don't have much time for you if the shop is full just before lunch.
On the slow days you can ask what they've got out the back, and sometimes you do pick up a nice bargain.
Even the nicest dealers have said to me 'No I'm too busy to go look in the safe now'.

I have noticed that if you brush off any real or imagined offense and just try to make a relationship with them (by talking w them and being a good customer) there are many benefits such as ainslie giving me leeway in my purchases when I bought 2 boxes of dragon coins and being able to purchase items not available yet. As in anything you only get what you put in.

Everyone deserves a second chance, you would say, wouldn't you? Also, you have to address good and bad experience, too. With the latest spot drop last week I ordered from them and went to pick it up today.Brian was waiting for me inside as someone brought this whole issue to their attention:) We had a good talk, addressed all the issues I had and all squared:) I gotta say Brian is really a customer service focused person which I appreciate very much.Unfortunately, we started off the wrong foot. But again, everyone needs to get the same respect from anyone ,anytime as you wouldn't know who walks into yr store.

As regards to that person(member),thanks for that, as I had a good and understanding talk with Brian and everyone knows me in the store by name now:)

yup always better to have another source for bullion never know when you will get the itch.

Nice one dragafem, thanks for posting the update. I've only bought there once (and it took a loooong time to be called up even though I was the only one there!) and everyone was friendly enough, given the nature of the place. I'd certainly go back again and it's good to hear your experience improved and that they really made an effort.

(And thanks to whoever the stacker was who flagged it with them)

Brians a good bloke. I made an online order for a 10oz dragon at 10mins before the online shop closed. Needless to say the order didnt go through and i thought i had lost a good opportunity. I rang up anyway the next morning and asked half defeated if my order went though anyway. It didnt and i explained i saw it at X price. Told me to wait a moment and he checked the overnight prices. Ended up honouring the price i saw and set it aside for me. Even let me pay COD.

I realised that they put up the price of a 5oz silver dragon, it was $155 last week, and it's $172 now... what happened...??
