Aye, his old man must have taught him well.
Any money he's not moving anywhere near the amount of metal he did before the breakup with the MM, i sure as hell give him no time (never have but liked his older rounds).

They had a good thing going, and done foocked it up.
 
This is true, obviously he has ulterior motives to try and keep the faith but his point about having savings outside of the 'system' is good advice in my eyes.

The old man had too much faith and cash in one asset, never a good idea at any time.

funny they are predicting it moving nowhere for at least 2 years

Unfortunately, your comment is very insightful, and probably applies to many.
"Faith" is emotional - a disaster for investment.
 
Stupidest move I ever made -

Ranked in descending order of stupidity and restricted to only financial actions:

1/ Sold CBA, ANZ, and WBC during the GFC with a mind saturated by goldbug commentators

2/ Bought gold and silver juniour developers/explorers

3/ Kept on buying silver from 2003-2013 which is a security risk/cost to store, pays no dividends, clumsy to sell, and has lately had very bad capital performance

Don't want to rub salt in the wounds but wow!
On the other hand if you got out at the right time or there abouts, not as bad. If you still have all of it then ouch!
