I like the piedfort version with a mintage of only 1000.

Not a bad design on the proof piedfort but it's a relatively small coin...I'd rather spend the same money on a larger 1 full ounce pure silver 2014 proof Britannia which arguably has a far more interesting design.

I've just ordered mine, beautiful clean & simple design mintage of 1000 I think it will sell out very quickly.

I was actually thinking eBay but I just went to look at prices for the 1 and 5 oz silver 2014 proof Britannias....ouch!. I forgot that they are being priced so high in the aftermarket. Oh well, I'm probably still not going to get the 2015.

Just bought 2 coins. Love the design. What's more, it will come with a new portrait of the Queen on the obverse. Mintage of 1000 makes it an attractive piece to collect. UK Mint piedfort coins always sell out and are hard to find in the secondary market.

My order confirmation email says "subject to availability" so there is no way to know if they were sold out before we ordered.

That is the standard caveat which appears on all of the UK mint confirmations. I am sure our orders have gone through.
 
hi,can i ask,is this Britannia proof design range for 2015? Or will there be 1oz version of Britannia proof edition like in 2014?I`m little bit confused :(
 
Together with Chinese and Mexican, Britain has one of the coolest coins and medals.

Piedforts are pretty cool. Prefer 5oz or bigger, but sill pretty awesome. :)

Good question because it is a little confusing. I do believe that this is specifically the "Definitive Britannia" which is likely a different series from the Britannia proof series started in 2013 that includes a 5 oz coin.

But if anyone knows differently, please add a comment.

This is one of our standard circulating 2 coins with Britannia on it.

It has nothing to do with "the" britannia bullion and proof range.
