i just received my silver necklace from ebay and well... its way too bling for me. i dont think i can wear it. unless its in the dark.

currently im wearing a 5g gold necklace.
this one is 266g and its fat and it makes me look like a try hard :)
and i do regret buying it.

where in brisbane can i get the sterling verified? how much does it cost? any help appreciated.

do a specfic gravity test on it Sterling Silver 10.36 times water 5.457 weight in troy oz per Cubic inch
 
it is hard to tell from pictures but it looks like sterling to me. A SG test would but you could also make a small nic with a sharp object or file on and inconspicuous part and if it is plated you will see the base metal underneath, if it is fairly soft and not plated I would assume it is sterling. I wouldnt worry about it too much.
 
It's hallmarked sterling, looks like sterling, most likely is sterling. Nice heavy chain.. See what you mean about the silver mr T look.
What's it worth/ what did you pay?
 
agreed, i got a phat chain like that and never wore it, cool for the right kinda guy though.. similar to the 1/2 sov gold ring.. too bling
