Bob Chapman

Anyone else sick of seeing this guys fat head everytime you put in a Youtube query? I'm looking up so many other people, Jim Rogers, Marc faber, gerald celente. Doesn't matter who I type in, all I get is his face and his 2000 radio shows. Incorrectly marking youtube videos should result in a ban!

More talking about his standard general advice which is to "put your money in into gold and silver coins, bullion and shares." and "don't think, just do it". Brilliant.

He does need a new picture. This one is all cheese.

Bob Chapman is the kind of guy that appeals to those Americans that are buying gold and silver to stash in their rural compound whilst stocking up on canned food and ammunition.
I've put this guy into the "do not listen - conservative crackpot" basket.

You need to understand something:
There is a movement in the precious metals community that is Austrian, Neo-Conservative and worst of all, Objectivist.
These are the people you do not listen to.
Bob Chapman is one of them, the Casey Report people are another (although Doug Casey himself has some valid points, he often confuses the symptoms for the cause).

However, having said that there are plenty of people that have valid things to say.
Let me ask you this question - how many times has Bob Chapman been interviewed on King World News?

It sounds as if "those Americans" you are referring to are obviously way ahead of the curve, and if they're listening to Bob Chapman i guess that must mean he is talking sense.

Or do you figure the sheeple that listen to FOX are the one's you should be going to to for advice on who to listen to?

Why did you respond to the first comment I made twice?
It would have been more poignant if you had addressed the post I made after that, since I actually told you the reason why I don't listen to Bob Chapman.

i too wonder about yky's responses, they seem impulsive and lacking any depth. i asked a simple question in another thread and she abandoned it entirely - specifically,

please, Yippe-Ki-Ya, to me your pronouncement seems at odds with everything here so this seems really essential ...

WHY STACK? afterall, if the particular futures at issue are legit, why not invest in paper and electronic silver. i wonder if a stacker reasoning that there is no such manipulation is self-contradictory. :)

Freedom of expression?

I did not reply to your post simply because I am unfamiliar with King World News and therefore unable to judge the significance of Bob Chapman's absence thereon.
Although i assume that it is some sort of holy grail?

Similarly, i could enquire as to why you did not answer the question that i posed to you? :D

At least he's a great reminder to use your mental filter with anything on the net. I wouldn't mind so much if he wasn't wrong with his calls so often.

Please see revived threads - if you can find any threads on the forum where his prediction has been correct I am eager to see it.

You posed a question?
I think it might have been this one?

Or do you figure the sheeple that listen to FOX are the one's you should be going to to for advice on who to listen to? lol

My answer is this:
People should do their own research and then make up their own minds as to what they should believe.
To get you started, here is a suggested reading list:

Adam Smith
David Ricardo
Karl Marx
Leon Walras
John Maynard Keynes
Milton Friedman

Hope this helps you.
