BITCON... WHY its totally FLAWED

Hahahaha BBQCoin, that's about the only one I don't have at least 100 of - better get onto that.

Someone needs to make a KFC coin, I'd put every dollar I have into it.

Just swapped some BTC for 1000 LTC. Should do well if/when it starts trading on Mt.Gox.

Damn!

Impressive gamble you're taking there, I've only got about 400 LTC at the moment.

Did anyone else see AUD BTC trading for a higher price than USD BTC for about 2 hours this afternoon, it was weird.

Quite honestly, the only thing a new alt coin needs is a catchy name and some marketing.

Don't forget a crapload of pre-mining so as soon as it hits an exchange the creators make $20g +

Anyone else have any Chinacoin opinions?

Once it dropped from 0.002 down to 0.001 BTC I thought it was all over and pretty much wrote mine off, but now it has come back up to 0.0016 BTC on BTC-E.

There some decent sized buys going through as well, considering how easy it was to mine just last week I thought there would still be plenty of dumping going on...are people holding?

Does anyone know if you can find out total coins on issue for these alt-currencies?

I imagine it should be number of blocks in the chain * payout ?

I have a feeling that chinacoin might be around for a while, don't underestimate nationalism...

Interesting point you have made.

Anyone mining CNC still? At a 600kh/s rate I am struggling to get 10 in 12 hours now using pools (currently CHNpool.com) - is this usual or is it more profitable to solo mine?

Does anyone schedule their mining to avoid peek electricity rates (between 2pm-8pm Mon-Friday in NSW)?

I've just scripted my mining rig to shut itself down at 2pm Mon-Fri, and boot it up at 8pm (using the BIOS).

Anybody got their electricity bill yet? My rig is uses ~380 watts with one 7970 card mining.
24/7 for me.

Electricity bill is going to be scary though.

Wow thats not as bad as I thought it would be...how many HDD's, what CPU etc?

Is that with the GPU on 99% (i.e. intensity 20)?

Best LTC pool = Coinotron...true or false?

Is around 1.5 LTC a day off a 7970 at near max intensity about normal?

That's about what I'm getting using RBPPS. Do you use PPS or RBPPS?

RBPPS, just shifted to PPS to check out the difference but I suspect it will be similar.

So unfortunately the latest coin that will be out is "0pticoin" but it's being released at 4am.

Doubt ill wake up that early for it lol

In simple terms, what is the advantage of stratum over getwork mining...every post on bitcointalk.org goes waaay over my head.

Stratum pool will push new block work to a miner as soon as a new block is detected instead of a miner polling the server for new work every X seconds.

It saves you mining on a stale/found block for 5-10 seconds (or whatever it is) after it's already been found.

Stratum will give you a lot less rejects due to this
