I bought some PPC and sold out pretty quick, it seems suss to me.

Software cap of 2 billion coins max (which can be increased), and its a centralised currency from what I have read.

Theres also rumours the devs pre mined a crapload of coins.

You're thinking of Novacoin (NVC).

Perhaps I am with some of it, but...

http://cryptocur.com/ppcoin-ppc/

"where PPCoin only has a hard cap of 2 billion coin in the code. There is no intention to limit the amount of coins that can be generated"

$183... Still many buyers out there.
Also I reckon, people who have decided to get involved a couple of weeks ago are probably just coming online now, with the MtGox verify delays + time to deposit cash...the graph looks pretty much vertical right about now. I am split between the following scenarios:

- it keeps going higher then a strong vertical correction
- it slows down after reaching a certain level and somehow stabilise around that level

Thoughts? :)
Pure speculation i know hehe

There are so many people lining up to get Mt Gox accounts, and the market depth seems to indicate most want to buy! I think it might keep running hard for at least a few more weeks.

Mining litecoin now, only getting ~300Kh/s out of each 7870. couple of things I looked at on the net suggested I should get getting closer to 350-400... :s

I have a plan to put a 7870 and a 7770 in each node, I think this should fix my cooling problem..

Anyone mining litecoins care to share the pool they are using?

I have tried coinotron (which works fine for me for PPC), local hashrate is around 540 KH (so setup appears OK), but coinotron reports either 0 KH or 14 KH (and so very few credits appear).

i'm using ozco.in seems fine so far...

having trouble getting my hashrate up, what software are you using rbaggio?

I was using Coinotron, but switched to Ozcoin - https://lc.ozcoin.net/ - seems to be working well for me.

Ozco.in is definitely the best I've used.

I think it's more directed at Australian's and seems I get higher hash rates.

Their fee is fairly low too!

Using cgminer with shaders and scrypt options for LTC, I think I might take everyone's suggestion and give ozcoin a go.

The difficulty is ramping up so fast on PPC that I think LTC might be a better go for a while.

Thanks all.

Your Position in the Verification Queue 4640

I bought through Bitinnovate - and was not happy about 7.9% commission at $40 AUD - so the wall of buyers must be massive

My current config is:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -o http://newlc.ozco.in:9332 --shaders 1280 --intensity 12 --worksize 256 -g 1 --auto-fan --auto-gpu --gpu-fan 25-60 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1300

on a pair of 7870's and i'm only getting 570k/h total stuff i was reading online suggests i should be getting closer to 800. but the settings they gave as well seemed weird and crazy. how much are you getting on which card?

"Your Position in the Verification Queue 5140"

Lol, been like a week from 9000 to 5000.

Glad I didn't wait for that shit.

4640! ahah still heaps queuing at the door right now!
Did you just register?

2ds I am getting 540 KH on a stock 7970, this is with

--scrypt -o http://newlc.ozco.in:9332 --shaders 1280 -I 15 --auto-fan -u xxx -p xxx

ozco.in is, however, reporting a much lower hashrate, bouncing between 8 and 17 KH.

So something weird going on :/

The bigger that Mt Gox queue gets, the better for the BTC price I believe! :D

Can't believe it hit $185 tonight, I was thinking $200 by next Sunday not almost the day after I said it!

Edit - $179 AUD BTC bid on Gox right now, I'm fighting my urge to sell so bad as I think it may be $200 when I wake up!

I hope that isn't your shaders, they should be like 2048 from what i understand.

My intensity is maybe a little low i'll try fiddling with that.

I'm thinking that maybe the numbers people have been posting up are inflated.

2ds here is my actual command. I copied yours and just made changes, guessing what mine was (wasn't logged in at the time).

cgminer -o http://newlc.ozco.in:9332 -u xxx -p xxx --auto-fan --scrypt -I 14 --shaders 2048

RM here is the output, I just stopped the script before:

That's your culprit. Hardware errors essentially.

Usually pop up when the card is either overclocked or working too hard with the settings you've given it.

You're obviously linux'ing so I'd try a bit of a lower intensity, maybe 11?
--auto-gpu
--auto-fan

Remove the --shaders flag. Let CGMiner sort out your settings straight up.

Are you using pps or dgm for the pool.
